Is Juvederm Ultra Plus Xc/voluma Painful?

Although it may vary from patient to patient depending upon sensitivity, Juvederm XC/Voluma can cause minor discomfort, as with any injection. Juvederm XC/Voluma contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic, which helps to lessen the discomfort felt during and after treatment. Dr. Sameerah Wong also uses a topical numbing cream on all her Juvederm XC/Voluma patients to alleviate any discomfort felt during the treatment. For patients concerned about discomfort, Dr. Sameerah Wong may administer a nerve block to further alleviate pain.
